Geneva R. Cooper age 91 of Richmond died on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Reid Health. She was born February 10, 1933, in Pendleton County Kentucky to Russell and Ruth Alice Mardis Bonar. Her family relocated to the Kitchel area in Union County in March 1945. She graduated from Kitchel High School in 1950. She joined the Hanna Creek Christian Church in 1947. She married Richard Cooper in June 1950 at Hanna's Creek Christian Church. Richard died on November 27, 1989. Geneva was employed for 30 years at Belden Corporation retiring in 1992. She also worked at Meijer's retiring in 2012.

She is survived by three children Karen Cooper, Beverly Cooper, and Michael Cooper, four grandchildren Brian Cooper, Angela Gates, Shannon Schaeff, and David Hoelsher, her great-grandchildren Raegan Gates, Victoria Cooper, Jocelyn Calderon, and Joey Craft, nieces and nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Norma Jean Bonar, Shirley Miller, Betty Donaldson, Mable Hensley, and her brother William "Bill" Bonar.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday, July 1, 2024, at Goshen Cemetery with Rev Martin Holman officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M.
