Gene Chasteen age 82 of Richmond died September 1, 2024 at Willows of Richmond. He was born may 14, 1942 in Berea, Kentucky to Gilbert and Beulah Baker Chasteen and lived here most of his life. He was a heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical repairman working at Remsco, and D and J Homes. He was a Navy veteran and a member of Fellowship Church of Richmond. He enjoyed rebuilding antique cars. Gene's family would like to thank Willows of Richmond for their care.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years Jeanne, three children Lavonna (Mike) Downy, Sonya Minnick, Terry (Amy) Chasteen, Jonna (Joe) Burton, six grandchildren Lindsey Morgan, Wesley Robinson, Terry Chasteen, Amanda (Thaddeus) Downs, Tori Minnick, and Jacob Church, great-grandchildren Lucas Jones, Carson Robinson, Braden Chasteen, Cedar Downey, Aspen Downey, and Tailyn Robinson.one sister Donna (Jerry) Deaton, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two children Monica Robinson and Jimmy Church, his parents, and one sister Delores McQueen.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday September 6, 2024 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. David McQueen officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 {.M.
