Frank Edward Faddis, 88, of Richmond, passed away peacefully at his home on August 18, 2025, after a long illness. He was born on May 17, 1937, in Felicity, Ohio, to Ernest Jack and Alice Marie Evans Faddis, and spent most of his life in the Richmond community.

Frank was a devoted member of the First Southern Missionary Baptist Church. He was also a proud member of Laborers Union Local #1047 and worked many years at Debolt Stone Quarry and Delucio & Sons before retiring from Middleboro Stone Quarry.

Known for his love of classic westerns—especially Gunsmoke—Frank also enjoyed working on cars. His greatest joy, however, was time spent with his family, particularly Sunday gatherings and moments with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Erma Jane Faddis; his son, Mark (Rebecca) Faddis; three grandchildren, Sarah (Kyle) Slaven, Mark Anthony (Kiersten) Faddis, and Nathan Wyatt (Kelsey) Faddis; eleven great-grandchildren; his brother, Allen (Donna) Faddis; and several nieces and nephews.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his infant son, Frankie Edward Jr. (1960); brothers Charles and Richard; and sisters Clara, JoAnne, and Doris.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home, with Pastor Duane Smith and Pastor Nathan Faddis officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
