Frank E. DeVito Jr. passed from this life to join his parents and infant daughter on June 23, 2021.  He was born in Dayton, Ohio on Jan 9th, 1948 to Frank E. Sr. and Margaret (Young) DeVito.

He lived in Richmond his entire life becoming somewhat of a musical legend.   Frank's father bought him an accordion at the age of six.  Hours upon hours of practice produced the exceptional organist we all have grown to love today.  Frank performed locally in nearly every nightclub, bar, and restaurant.

He traveled to perform from Chicago to Florida to Las Vegas to California.  Frank performed with numerous bands and groups as well as a solo performer throughout his illustrious musical career.  Few people in the Richmond area never heard Frank play the organ.  There were few things in life that he loved more than being on stage.

Other than music, his other interests included vintage cars and riding his motorcycle.  Frank enjoyed traveling throughout the United States for several weeks at a time on his cycle.  His new love was his "trike," a 3-wheeler painted up like the American flag.

As past owner of Coin-O-Matic Laundry and The Wheel, Frank became well known outside of music.  He became a well-trusted businessman and entrepreneur.  He was involved in many business ventures and properties.

Meeting with his "Old Geezers" most weekdays was on the top of Frank's daily list.  When his nephew Brian was in town, Frank loved taking him to see the "Geezers" on his "mo-ped," as Brian called his Harley.  Both would grin from ear to ear.

Survivors include his two daughters, Gina DeVito (Jessie) and Nicki Sue (David) of Richmond, and one son, Anthony DeVito (Tana) of McCordsville, Indiana.  He leaves behind one sister, Rita Puyear (David) of Surprise, Arizona, and one brother, Richard DeVito (Dusk) of Richmond.  Other survivors are granddaughters Kinsey, Caylee, and Sidney, and grandson Caleb.  Also surviving are nieces and nephews, including his pride and joy Brian Puyear, and many cousins.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his infant daughter, Angela.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Wayne County Special Olympics P.O.
