Evelyn Ruth Hannah Rogers was born on April 27, 1926, and died on January 22, 2023. She was born in Richmond, Indiana, and lived her long, full life in the same town.  As a child, she grew up with one older sister, three older brothers, and one younger sister.

Evelyn graduated in 1945 from Indiana Academy, Cicero IN, and attended Emmanuel Missionary College in Berrien Springs MI.  She loved teaching and taught at the Cicero church school until she met her future husband. In August 1947 she married Rex Leroy Rogers and three years later their first son, Dennis, was born followed by little brother Joseph in 1957.

Artistic in nature, Evelyn enjoyed decorating her home, she was a talented seamstress and organist.  She was a member of the Richmond Seventh-day Adventist Church since her teens. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Hallie Hannah, all of her siblings, Helen, Mark, Dale, Harry Jr., and Barbara, her husband, Leroy, and son Joseph. She is survived by her son Dennis (Jackie), 3 grandsons, and 10 great-grandchildren.
