Joe Blevins, 78, of Richmond went home to be with the Lord on April 14, 2024. She was born October 1, 1945, in Lancaster, Kentucky to Albert and Ruby Powell. She moved to Richmond when she was five years old. She married the love of her life Oliver Blevins on June 1, 1962, preceding her death.

She loved her family and all her grandbabies. She enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets. and was loved by many people. She worked at Nettle Creek Industries, the Salvation Army, and Wal-Mart, and retired from Lowes Home Improvement.

She is survived by two children John (Dana) Blevins and Betty (John) Leonard, her grandchildren Chelse Leonard, John (Courtney) Blevins, Mathew Leonard, Tyler (Macey) Blevins, and Olivia (Nathan) Morgan, her great-grandchildren Brady Johnson, Heidy Blevins, Emelia Blevins, John Blevins, Corban Blevins, and Adalyn Morgan, sister Nan Jones, sister-in-law Lorene Blevins, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by three brothers Robert C. Powell, Albert W. Powell, and Erman Powell, and four sisters Betty Bond, Oma Cook, Ruby Black, and Wanda Powell.

Funeral services will be held at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 18, 2024 with Rev Darrin McCIintock with burial in Earlham Cemetery.
