Eva Mae (McCashland) Hufnagel 95, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away on March 13, 2023. She was born January 27, 1928, in Liberty, Indiana; the daughter of Elmer R. and Minnie Maxine Davis McCashland.

She was a 1946 graduate of Richmond High School. She married Louis J. Hufnagel on December 27, 1948. She was a devoted wife and mother who lived and raised her family in Centerville, Indiana. Eva was instrumental in supporting the family cattle/horse farm and milking operation until Louis and Eva moved to Noblesville, Indiana in 1983.

Eva loved spending time with her family and thoroughly enjoyed the family hobby of showing American Quarter Horses. Eva was a member of St. Louis De Montfort Catholic Church in Fishers, Indiana.

She is survived by her five children, Louis A. Hufnagel of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Stephen (Jill) Hufnagel of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Teresa Hogan of Muncie, Indiana, Michele (Scott) Holanda of Upland, Indiana, Jennifer (Brett) Hunter of Arlington, Texas; seven grandchildren Stacey Hufnagel, Tricia Chapman, Bernadette Tata, Lisa Hufnagel, Ashley (Landon) Hawkins, Hillary Hunter, and Hayley (Perry)Wilson; nine great-grandchildren Kate, Caleb, Jacob, Sam, Chloe, Rayden, Halen, Quinn, Michael, and one great-great-granddaughter Kensleigh; two nieces Kathy Hufnagel, and Judy (William) Carrigan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 61 years, Louis J. Hufnagel who died in 2010, one brother Fred B. McCashland.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home; a private inurnment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions may be made to the Fred B.
