Esther Stout 87 of Richmond passed away on August 7, 2023, at Reid Health. She was born January 17, 1936, in Spartanburg to Olin and Norene Manning Lawman and lived here most of her life. She formerly worked at Reid Health. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where she volunteered as a Sunday School teacher and helped with the soundboard.

Survivors include her daughter Rena (Mark) Atkins, two grandchildren Todd Stout and Ashley (Kris) Fair, three great-grandchildren Trenton (Gracie) Stout, Taylor Marquis, and Kimber Fair, one great-great-grandchild Paisley Buttery, nieces, and nephews, and a special friend Amy Scott. Her husband Jack died in 2001. She is also preceded in death by her son Rob Stout Sr., one grandson Rob Stout Jr., her parents, her brother William Lawman, and her sister Jane Lawman.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Lantz officiating. Her burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
