Erlinda M. Clemente 89 of Richmond passed away July 30, 2022, at Reid Health. She was born June 15, 1933, in Manila, Philippines to Vivencio and Paciencia Ponce Mendoza and lived here most of her life.

She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church.

Erlinda enjoyed cooking, entertaining, and playing bingo.

She is survived by her three children Lisa (Joe) Shirey of Melbourne, Florida, Froylan (Marlene) Clemente of Rocky Point, North Carolina, Lito  (Christina) Clemente of Indianapolis, Indiana; five grandchildren Eric Rabern, Tucson, Arizona, Rachel Head, Cameron, North Carolina, Gabby Clemente, Dylan Clemente, Indianapolis, Indiana, Nathan Clemente, both of  Rocky Point, Carolina, four great-grandchildren Savannah Head,  Bella Head,  John Jake Head, all of Cameron, North Carolina,  Archer Rabern, Rocky Point, North Carolina, three sisters Josefina M. Salavarria, Cristina M. Calderon, Pilarcita M. Espera, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Dr. Jose Clemente and two sisters

Liturgy of Christian burial will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 13, 2022, at St. Andrews Church with Rev. Sengole Gnanaraj officiating; a private inurnment in the Earlham Mausoleum will be held at a later date. Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Friday, August 12, 2022, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home.
