Edwin Eugene  Tucker passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Rosebud Villiage where he has been for over a year. He was born September 16, 1921, in Stanford, Kentucky, and came to Richmond in 1941. He was an Army veteran and worked many years at Hayes Arboretum. He also worked at Johns-Manville and retired from Dana Corporation in 1984.

He was a member of the Centerville Nazarene Church where he ushered until the age of 100. He loved working in his garden and all his flower beds. He loved collecting things that shine, antiques, and going to estate sales.

He leaves behind three children Joan Robling of Richmond, Daryl (Wendy) Tucker of Houston, Texas, and Cheryl Strickler of Richmond, eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. His wife of 75 years Pauline Tucker died December 27, 2016, and is preceded in death by a daughter Fran Leininger of Ocala, Florida.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Saturday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared with the family via the guest book at stegallberheideorr.com.
