Edward Mullins, 81, of Richmond, IN passed into Jesus' arms surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 11, after a brave battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Ed was born on August 16, 1942, to William and Emma Jane Mullins in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. After graduating from Livingston High School, Ed moved to Richmond, IN where he met the love of his life, his "Georgie Girl", Georgia Johnson. They recently celebrated 60 years having been married July 4, 1963. They were blessed with two daughters, Lori L. (Brad) Lambright of Centerville, IN, and April E. (Matthew) Branstetter of Wheeling, West Virginia.
Ed was a member of the Masonic Lodge (Williamsburg), Wayne County Conservation Club, and Williamsburg Lions Club, and he was a Kentucky Colonel. He was a member of Freedom Missionary Baptist Church.
Ed was co-owner of Westside Service for 30 years where he became friends with all he met. Ed's nickname was "Moon Mullins" and he was previously employed by Eaton Gear, Kemper Cabinets, Overhead Door, and Haughton Elevator. He was an avid collector of clocks and loved vintage cars. He could build, create, and fix just about anything.
He was Pappaw to Hunter Lambright, Arielle (Chris) Williams, Tom Branstetter, Kara (Andrew) Schroeder, Ashleigh (Eric) Davis, Emma Lambright, and Wade Lambright, and honorary grandchild Paighton Morken. He was Big Pappaw to Blakelynn, Kyra, Nicholas, and Finley Branstetter, Gentry Williams, Zoey, and Corie Schroeder, and Vivian Davis.
Ed is survived by his twin sister Evelyn Fouch and sister Virginia (Bice) Owens. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Katherine Gadd, Emma Jane Owens, Lillian Thomas, Henry, Jack, Granville, David, Matt, and Wayne Mullins.
Pallbearers are Hunter and Wade Lambright, Tom Branstetter, Eric Davis, Chris Williams, and Andrew Schroeder, and honorary pallbearer is Gentry Williams.
Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Matthew Branstetter and Brad Lambright officiating; burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
