Edward Duane "Big Ed" Hillard 70 of Richmond died March 23, 2022, at Reid Health after an extended illness. He was born February 17, 1952, to Jess and Lena Marcella Shaffer Hillard and lived here most of his life. He worked for Natco for 20 years and Primex Plastics for 19 years. He was a member of the Jaycees.

Survivors include his five children Heather (Dennis) Harris, Josh Hillard, Stephanie Hillard, Zack (Chelsey) Kofski, and Jeremiah Kofski, his grandchildren Taylor, Sadie, Chandler, Landon, and Brianna, his great-granddaughter Elora Jean, his sisters Tammy Oakley, Debbie Devers, and Candy Kantowicz, nieces and nephews, and his former wife and friend Beth Howard. Hs is preceded in death by his parents and brother Terry (Pam) Hillard.
