Louise Baldwin, 96, of Richmond passed away June 7, 2024 at Reid Hospital surrounded by loved ones.  She was born March 19, 1928 in Richmond to Charles and Cordia Robinson. She lived in Richmond all her life.

She retired from Richmond Community Schools Food Service after 20 years of service.  She attended Lifespring Church – North and was a member of Harry Ray American Legion Auxiliary Port #65.

Louise loved spending time in the kitchen – cooking and baking for her family.  She was known for her famous butterscotch pie.  She was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Indiana University basketball.  But, most important to her was her family.  She loved spending time with them, and her infectious laugh will be heard for many years to come.  Her pets also became her family.  She loved her pet-companion, dachshund Maggie.

Louise is survived by three children, Sharon Baldwin of Richmond, Dianna Joiner of Sharps Chapel, TN and Chuck Baldwin of Richmond, daughter-in-law Carolyn Baldwin of Lynn, multiple grandchildren including, Paul (Jennifer) Joiner, Sarah (David) Jones, Jeff (Tara) Baldwin, Kevin (Jessica) Baldwin, Michelle (Brandon) Hilbert and Crystal (Steve) Morefield, multiple great-grandchildren including, Addysen, Brady, Devin, Riley, Savannah, and Jenelle, one brother Roger (Josefina) Robinson and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Clyde Baldwin Jr., son David Baldwin, parents Charles and Cordia, sister June and brothers Jack, Jim and Charles.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday June 12, 2024 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr with Pastors Jacob Gibson, Ed McFarland and Bruce Thompson officiating.  Burial will be at Earlham Cemetery.  Friends may call from 11am-1pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Reid Hospital and the Hospice care team.  Their kindness and care for Louise, during this difficult time, was greatly appreciated.
