Douglas Allen Kuntz, 65 of Richmond, died December 11, 2024, at Forest Park Health Campus after an extended battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was born January 5, 1959, in West Lafayette and lived in Richmond most of his life.

He formerly was the Golf Professional at BPOE Elks Country Club for over 30 years. In 2011 with the help of his friends and fellow golfers, he established the Pro's Players Fore Parkinson's golf tournament. He won the 2016 Indiana PGA Bill Strausburgh and the 2019 Indiana PGA Deacon Palmer Award. Doug chose to continue fighting Parkinson's Disease by donating his brain to the Neurology Department of the University of Kentucky for research in hopes of finding a cure for Parkinson's Disease.

Marianne is thankful for Doug's care from Forest Park Health Campus, Ascera Care Hospice, and especially his nurse Megan.

Doug is survived by his wife of 38 years Marianne, his daughter Patricia Jaclyn (Josh) Johnson, two grandchildren Carter and Avery Johnson, his sisters Carol Ann Donohue and Barbara (Rick) Edstrom, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ted Kuntz.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Elks Country Club. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Service is handling arrangements. Online condolences may be shared with Doug's family via the guest book at stegallberheideorr.com.
