Donna Jean Stier passed on March 5, 2026 at Forest Park Health Campus. Donna was born January 10, 1933 in Lindsey, Nebraska to August and Mary (Bellar) Foltz. Her family moved to Indiana in 1938 due to farming conditions during the depression.

Donna was a member of St. Andrew Parish/ St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish since moving to Indiana. She attended St. Andrew School and graduated from Richmond High School in 1951. Donna was a member of Kappa Delta Phi sorority, was an Associate of the Sisters of St. Francis in Oldenberg, and had been active in Catholic Woman United, church meal teams, and prayer teams.

She worked at John and Mary Astesano's grocery store and was a reading tutor and a past school board member at Seton Elementary. Donna enjoyed bowling and golfing with her husband and women's leagues, tending her flower gardens, playing bridge, and being with her family.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband Deacon Ron Stier whom she married in 1964 and two infant children: Christopher and Andrea, her brother William Foltz, and sisters Carol Foltz and Marilyn Grotendick, brothers- and sisters-in-law: Jan and Steve Chase and Dale and Janice Stier, Ruth Foltz, and Joan Foltz.

She is survived by three children Kim (Michael) Laughlin, Denise (Vince) Gray, Ron (Lori) Stier, seven grandchildren: Andrew (Devon) and Jared (Ali) Laughlin; Brady, Sarah and Brooke Gray; Emily and Annie Stier, two great granddaughters: Elsie and Morgan, her brother Harold  Foltz, brother-in-law William Grotendick, nieces and nephews.

Liturgy of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday March 9, 2026 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church with Rev. Sengole Gnanaraj officiating, with burial following in St. Andrew's Cemetery. The family is thankful for the many caregivers Donna has had in her journey in the last nine years especially those at Forest Park Health Campus and Aseracare Hospice. We invite all to be like Donna, a true servant of God, to do an act of kindness or good deed for someone every day.
