Donna Louise McKinley, 91, of Winter Garden, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, at Horizon West Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on January 14, 1935, in Richmond, Indiana, Donna was the daughter of Maurice and Ruth (Overstreet) Kercheval. She built a life centered on love, faith, and devotion to family. She shared 44 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Charles David "Dave" McKinley, whom she married on November 22, 1969. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and lasting memories.

Donna's life was one of quiet strength and service. She worked in several roles over the years, most notably as a Culinary Manager at the Wayne County Jail in Richmond, where she took pride not only in her work but in caring for others. She especially loved cooking for family and friends, and nothing made her happier than gathering loved ones around the table. In every meal she prepared, she shared comfort, kindness, and a sense of belonging.

Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. She was a dedicated member of Bible Study Fellowship and Central United Methodist Church, where she generously gave her time to various committees and ministries. She was also a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star #49 and active in the Richmond Area Emmaus Community, forming deep, meaningful friendships along the way.

More than anything, Donna will be remembered for the way she loved. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother whose kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering support touched everyone who knew her. Her presence brought comfort, her smile brought peace, and her faith brought inspiration.

She is lovingly survived by her children: Carole Ann (Joseph) Amendola of Winter Garden, Florida, and Mark (Zoie) Kelly of Holmes Beach, Florida; her cherished grandchildren, Aleigha (Jon) Park, Joshua (Natalie) Kelly, Patrick (Laura) Kelly, Sean (Paulina) Kelly, Jenifer (Scott) Aselage, Andrew Amendola, and Ella Amendola; and her nine great grandchildren, Paige, Taylor, Samantha, Marlowe, Cleo, Willow, Charlie, Jake, and Payton. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dave; her parents; her sister, Carole; and her daughter, Jayne Hillman.

A visitation will be held at Stegall Berheide Orr Funeral Home in Richmond Indiana on Saturday April 25, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 P.M.
