Dewey was born October 6th, 1942 to Carlos and Dorothy (Day) Malicoat in Richmond, Indiana. He was raised on a farm and attended school in Whitewater, Indiana. He enjoyed fishing and went every chance he got to go.

He is survived by his son Darren (Jahdiel) Malicoat of Richmond. 2 grandchildren Cody (Erica) Malicoat of Richmond and Katrina (Kody) King of Fountain City. 2 great grandchildren Melody Malicoat and Hadley King with another great grandchild on the way. His special Aunt Opal, of New Paris, OH and Katherine Malicoat of Richmond.

He is preceded in death by his oldest son Timothy (Tim) Malicoat, 2 sisters Laversa (William) Crutcher and Vadis (Jim) Hill, 2 brothers Delbert (Sondra) Malicoat and Clifford (Peggy) Malicoat and his parents.

At the request of the deceased there will be no public calling, burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements will be handled by Stegall Burheide Orr. In lieu of flowers you can send donations to the local food banks.
