David E. Watson 64 of Richmond unexpectedly died July 8, 2022, at Reid Health. He was born in Richmond on November 1, 1957, to Willard and Peggy Pierson Watson and was raised here and lived in Richmond all his life. He retired from CSX Railroad as a Machine Operator. He enjoyed fishing at Elkhorn Lakes, Horseshoes, Pool, and Golf. He attended the Richmond Senior Center. He was a singer known as "Born to be"Wild." He loved his family and being active with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years Barbara, and three children, Davina (Chad) McClain, Derrick (Kristin) Watson, and Tricia (Scott) Campbell, and his grandchildren Tanner Atkins, Sierra Atkins, David Sholty, Chassidy Eversole, Jericka Sholty, Tyler Watson, Ryley Watson, Brynn Fahl, and Liam Watson, and Ashley McClain four great-grandchildren, his mother Peggy, and two sisters Carolyn Watson and Brenda Riner, nieces and nephew. He is preceded in death by his father Willard.
