Clarence Haynes, 87, formerly of Fountain City, living in New Castle, died Monday, February 16, 2026, at Hickory Creek at New Castle. He was born on April 1, 1938, in Wayne County to Daniel and Mary Love Haynes Sr.

He was a1956 graduate of Williamsburg High School, where he was a member of the undefeated basketball team. Clarence worked many years at Eaton Ger Company afterward he became a farmer. He became a distributor for Hearthstone and Tim Munsey Log Homes. He also restored log homes with his best friend Doug Sams and the dogs (babies) Sweetie, Raven, and Roger.

Surviving are his children, Greg Haynes of Hagerstown, and McKenna Lynnzey of Largo, Florida, his grandson Lance Corporal Rkyr Walker of Kaneoho, Hawaii, his brothers Daniel Jr. and William (Bill), his sisters Judy, Beverly, Vivian, and Rosemary, and their spouses, nieces, and nephews.
