Clara M. Johnson 64, of Richmond, passed away November 30, 2023, at Reid Health after a long illness. She was born May 10, 1959, in Richmond to Jesse and Dora McDaniel Maupin and lived here all her life.

She worked at Clara's Pizza King, she managed Burger King, and she worked in Home Health Care until her retirement.

She is survived by her two sons Johnny (Kristina) Johnson of Richmond, Jesse Johnson of Indianapolis, one granddaughter Kaelea Johnson, three brothers Lawrence (Sally) Maupin, Robert (Jane) Maupin, James Maupin, three sisters Sarah Varner, Loretta (James) Steele, Rebecca (Fred) Williams, several nieces and nephews, including two special nieces Heather and Alexis, one special nephew Lane, and her dog Waylon.

Clara is preceded in death by her parents, her grandson Kyler Johnson, and one brother William Maupin.

Clara's family would like to thank Rosebud Village and Reid Hospice for all their care and support during this difficult time.

Services will be at 1:00 PM Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Coffey officiating; burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery in Greens Fork.
