Cheryl Ann Garrett departed this life on July 17, 2023, bound by the love of her family & friends.

On May 27, 1946, Dorothy E. (Bell) Trisler and Ray R. Trisler welcomed their little bundle from heaven Cheryl Ann Trisler to their family in Richmond, IN. The two were elated with Cheryl's good-natured spirit, for she is the only child they would have.  When Cheryl was four months old, the Trisler's returned home to Vancouver, WA until moving back to Richmond, IN in 1948 which Cheryl would call home. Cheryl was a member of Trinity Church and then later named Faith Trinity. In 1964 Cheryl graduated from Centerville High School, where she made friendships that lasted a lifetime.  Cheryl went on to enroll at Southern Ohio Business College in Cincinnati, OH. There she would meet individuals that would make an impact on her life, one of which is her dear friend, Helen, their friendship would span fifty years.  While wed, Cheryl bared two children whom she loved deeply and lived for.  In 1976, Cheryl took employment at Richmond State Hospital, a position she would proudly hold for the next thirty-three years, and over those years she made many dear friends that she would cherish throughout her lifetime. It was there at RSH that she would meet her sister (pronounced seeester), Peggy.  In 2009 Cheryl retired from Richmond State Hospital, where she looked forward to morning coffee on the porch with dear friends/neighbors Scott & Patrick.  In April of 2017, Cheryl completed RCIA classes and then participated in Easter Vigil and became a parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Richmond, IN. Cheryl was a hard worker and great provider, she enjoyed gardening and putting up her harvest in her younger years, traveling, and caregiving to those who needed her, she made friendships with local UPS drivers from the enjoyment of watching QVC. I'd love to tell you about her time training for the US Dogsled team!  Though Cheryl's dash is short, it was deep, full of her love and loyalty.

Cheryl leaves behind her kids to cherish her memory proudly, son Anthony R. Garrett (wife, Shelley Garrett) of Jacksonville, FL, and daughter Mindy J. Jordan (husband, David Camp) of Palmetto, GA.  Grandchildren; Marc Garrett (fiancé, Tonya Martin), Catherine Napier (husband, Ben Napier), Lauren Loughlin and Maggie Camp (fiancé, Aaron Glover),  Great Grandchildren; William Napier, Ava Napier, and Carter Napier.  She is also survived by a wonderful cousin-in-law, first cousins, and a host of the best friends a gal could have!

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents Dorothy (1987) & Ray Trisler (2014), her Maternal Grandparents Amos and Susan (Gibbs) Bell, and Paternal Grandparents Frank and Lena (Hensley) Trisler and many other wonderful family and friends to whom she has been reunited with.

Cheryl's family would like each of you to please be mindful of those you love (friend or foe) and that if you see something that seems off to you, to please say something close to that person.  Let's take care of one another! The family would also like to thank each of you for your love & friendship to Cheryl through the years.

Funeral services for Cheryl will be at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, August 10, 2023, at St. Mary's Catholic Church 701 North A Street Richmond, IN 47374.  The burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
