Charles R. Ruhl, 87, of Richmond, passed away May 19, 2025, at the Willows of Richmond. He was born September 20, 1937, in Richmond to Floyd and Josie Bicknell Ruhl and lived here all his life.

He worked as an engineer at NATCO and was a member of the National Guard.  Charles coached Little League baseball and City Tackle football.  He loved anything IU and Colts Football.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Ruhl, Kathy (Tom) Cross of Richmond, Rick (Karen) Ruhl of Richmond and Randy (Nancie) Ruhl of Winchester; eleven grandchildren, Tara, Tami, Tommy, Logan, Danielle, Maxem, Ashley, Toni, Travis, Dustin and Devin; six great grandchildren, Courtnie, Cody, Kole, Laine, Tommy, and Noble; three great-great grandchildren, Bentley, Royanna and Reniyah; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Floyd Jr., and his sister, Beverly Berner.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the staff at the Willows and Stegall-Berheide-Orr for their compassionate care.

Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, May 23, 2025, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Webb officiating.  Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
