Obituary

Cathy Jo Boyatt 72 of Richmond, passed away on March 14, 2025, at Arbor Trace. She was born June 29, 1952, in Richmond to William and Virginia Wingerter Clark and lived in this area most of her life.

Throughout her career, she worked in the hospitality industry, dedicating many years to serving others wherever life took her. Her last role was as a bartender and server at the Olde Richmond Inn, where she forged lasting memories and friendships with both colleagues and patrons. She was also a devoted member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God in Richmond, Indiana.

She loved music, dancing, and playing BINGO, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Cathy is survived by the love of her life and soul mate of 38 years, Randy Boyatt; three children, Travis Riegel of Richmond, Nicole (Michael) Wood of New Paris, and Joshua (Amanda) Riegel of New Paris, Bryan Boyatt; stepson Marty (Elizabeth) Boyatt; ten grandchildren, Dominque Huffman, Adrian Escalona, Carley Hamm, Andrew Hamm, Alyssa Wood, Bradley Riegel, Jordyn Wood, Sydney Wood, Autumn Boyatt, and Madison Boyatt; one sister, Carolyn (Wayne) Smith of Lynn; her in-laws Joe (Ruth) Boyatt of Blue Ash, Ohio, Lisa Jones of Blanchester, Ohio, Tania (Bryan) Robinett of Columbus, Ohio, Phyllis Davis of Richmond, In; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her family, Cathy is survived by her longtime best friend, Darlene Rankin, with whom she shared a special bond and many cherished memories; she was also beloved by her cherished dogs over the years Buffy, Otis, Tator Tot, Sissy Sue, and Bella who brought her much joy and companionship.

She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as one sister, June Lawler, and two brothers, Jerry Clark and William Davis. She was also preceded in death by her longtime best friend, Vicki Lamson Halberstadt

A Celebration of life will be held on March 22, 2025, from 11 am - 1 pm, at Lighthouse Assembly of God with Pastors Ralph and Josh Holdeman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Lighthouse Assembly of God 2339 W Cart Rd, Richmond, IN 47374, or to Reid Health Hospice 1913 Chester Blvd, Richmond, IN 47374.
