Catherine E. Suthard 79 of Richmond, passed away on November 21, 2024, at Reid Health after a long illness. She was born April 3, 1945, in Buncombe Co., North Carolina to John Marvin and Esther Rose Smith Suthard; she lived in Silver Hill, Alabama, and Indianapolis before moving to Richmond thirteen years ago.

She was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of First Baptist Church.

Catherine received her bachelor's in social work from Indiana University; she retired from the Indiana State Department of Welfare.

She is survived by one brother Mitchell Suthard, three sisters Sharon Cramer, Hazel Printz, and Vivian Granger; many nieces and nephews, including her special niece's Evelyn Miller, and Cecelia Holler.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and eight brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held for Catherine at 4:00 PM Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at First Baptist Church with Pastor Branden Pahl officiating; Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
