Carolyn R. Hinson age 89 of Richmond passed Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Reid Health. She was born on November 26, 1934, to Donald Earl and Rosetta Elizabeth Volk Thomas and lived here all her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Deaf Club of Indianapolis.

Survivors include her children Yvonne (Steve) Nester, Terry Hinson, Lydia Hinson, Ivan Hinson, Nick Hinson, and
Rose Hinson, fourteen grandchildren including Stefanie (Zack) Kearney and Amanda Hammock, her great-grandchildren Layla and Jaxson Kearney, and Aiden and Alayna Hammock. Her husband Robert died in 2018, and her parents and one sister Angle Thomas.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Martin Holman officiating and burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
