Carole Jane Porter, 72, of Fountain City passed away July 2, 2023, at Reid Health after a short illness. She was born January 4, 1951, in New Castle to Kenneth Agee and Betty Jean Piercey Ferguson.

Carole was a member of Lifespring Church.

She worked as a Paramedic at Wishard Hospital; she worked in the Acute Rehab Center at Petoskey Hospital in Petoskey, Michigan; she worked for Reid Health, and CVS as a Pharmacy Tech.

Carole is survived by her husband of 33 years Duane Porter, three children Donald Eugene Ward of New Castle, Timothy Paul (Mendy) Ward of Ankeny, Iowa, and Aimee Elizabeth (Jonathan) Sharp of Richmond; eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one brother Dan Ferguson.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Lifespring Church North; friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Stegall-Berheide- Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
