Brenda Kay Burkhart, of Richmond, passed away in her home on October 4, 2021. She was born January 31, 1954, in Richmond, to William Kenneth and Gertrude Cruse Powell, and lived here all of her life.

She worked for Paulee's Diner, Cox's Grocery Store, and retired from Reid Health where she worked in environmental services.

She was a member of the Full Gospel Chapel.

Brenda was a Richmond High School graduate; she loved her work, her family, church family, and serving the LORD.

She is survived by her two sisters Barbara (Gary) Jinks, Rachel (Linder) Richardson, one brother Kenneth (Darlene) Powell, all of Richmond; three nephews Timothy (Ashley) Powell, Billy Jinks, Lee (Tracie) Powell, two great-nieces Kelsey, Serenity, two great-nephews Tyler, and Jaxon.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Louie Burkhart and her parents.

Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Pastor James Webb, Bro. Junior Rose, Bro. Alton Hale; burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
