Bitha Jane Isaacs, 97, of Richmond, In., went to her heavenly home surrounded by family, on September 22, 2026.

Bitha was the fourth child of thirteen children, born on May 30, 1929, to Emery and Lizzie Tillery, in McKee, Jackson County, Kentucky.

She married Turner Isaacs on July 3, 1947, in McKee, Kentucky. Bitha and Turner were married 53 years before his passing on November 11, 2000.

Family was one of Bitha’s greatest joys and over 97 years, she had the blessing of watching her family grow through five generations.

Bitha’s life was rooted in her faith of God. Her greatest desire was to be a witness for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a devoted prayer warrior who loved the Lord above all else and her faith remained a guiding force throughout her life. The example she set through her faith, devotion to family and gentle spirit will continue to live on through the generations she leaves behind.

Bitha worked at several factories; Richmond Glove, Nettle Creek and Vandor, where she retired from in 1972.

Bitha is survived by her sister-in-laws, Judy Tillery, Tyner, Ky.; Bonnie Tillery, Richmond, In.; Iva Isaacs, Paint Lick, Ky.; and Janet Powell, New Whiteland, In. Brother-in-law, Raliegh Coffey, Ky. And many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Turner, Bitha was preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in-law, Shellie and Linda Isaacs. Siblings, Everett, Glendon, Nanny May, Finley, Alfred, Earl, Kay, Ruby, Ida, Margie, Kenneth and Sue.

Bitha’s legacy is found in far more than the number of years she lived. It is found in the family she loved, the generations she helped shape, the prayers she faithfully prayed and most importantly, the faith she carried throughout her life.

Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Pastor Martin Holman officiating; entombment will be in the Earlham Mausoleum. Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bitha’s name to the charity of choice.
