Billy Asher Wilson, Sr., 82, passed away on April 17, 2026.  He was born to the late Willie and Helen (Asher) Wilson on July 31, 1943, in Lincoln County, Kentucky.

He proudly served his country in the US Army, and worked and retired from Johns Manville, a member of Manville's 25 year club.  He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1108, DAV, and Vietnam Veterans of America. He married Mabel (Black) Wilson on July 18, 1987; she survives.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel of 38 years; his daughters, Cherie Wood and Shelia Paxson; his sons, Mark, David, and Billy Jr. Wilson; his sisters, Patricia Lindsey and Brenda Westbrook; his brother, Jerry Wilson; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lois "Darlene" Bradshaw.

A private graveside service will be on Friday April 24, 2026 in New Liberty Cemetery.
