Obituary

William Edward "Bill" Vosmeier, 71, of Seymour, passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Majestic Care of North Vernon. He was born June 3, 1951, in Richmond, he was the son of the late Edward "Red" Vosmeier and Donna Lou (Brown) Griffin. He married Rebecca Laughlin on March 29, 1980, in Richmond; she survives.

Bill graduated from Richmond High School in 1969 and received his bachelor's degree in 1973 from the University of Maryland. He worked as a golf course superintendent. William was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Ambrose Catholic Church, both in Seymour. He enjoyed watching Bengals Football and Indiana University Basketball, mowing his lawn, and being outdoors; he was an avid griller and loved sitting on his porch listening to music, especially the Rolling Stones, and going to Muscatatuck Park with his grandchildren.

Surviving with his wife, Rebecca, are his son, Jamie Vosmeier of Atlanta, Georgia; his daughter, Heather Ann McGrath of Seymour; brother, Robert (Sherry) Vosmeier of Richmond; sister, Amelia "Amy" de Chicchis of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Alexx (Cara) Vosmeier and Arynn Vosmeier, both of Atlanta, Georgia, Andrew Vosmeier of St. Petersburg, Florida, Joseph McGrath, Loren McGrath, and Samuel McGrath, all of Seymour. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Thomas Vosmeier.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday March 17, 2023 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home 222 North 10 th Street Richmond. Burial will be in St, Andrew's Cemetery.
