Betty Lou Showalter a caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend left this world suddenly on February 12, 2021. Betty spent most of her time living in Richmond, Indiana and relocated to Crawfordsville, Indiana in 2008. She had three children being preceded in death by two sons Rick (Laura) Showalter, and Randy (Marsha) Showalter, and is survived by her daughter, Micky (Dave) Creech.
Betty loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family and friends, and was an amazing cook. Her favorite hobby was playing golf, but she also enjoyed bowling and could be quite competitive. She enjoyed combining two of her favorite things by supplying brownies to the golfers after many local Golf Scrambles.
She enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas for bowling tournaments, seeing the sights, and enjoying the Vegas shows. She held memberships with the Eagles Aerie 1005 and the American Legion Post 72, both located in Crawfordsville, Indiana. She is also a member of the Crawfordsville Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family via the guest book at stegallberheideorr.com.
