Betty J. Schisler 92 0f Richmond died Friday, August 25, 2023, at Reid Health with her family at her side. She was born March 27, 1931, in Olney, Illinois to Harley Moore and Gertrude Mae Wood Sullivan and lived in Richmond since 1970. She worked as a lathe operator at Huffman Manufacturing. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Betty enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and playing piano.

Survivors include three daughters Sharon Pennington of Richmond, Brenda (Barry) Edwards of Liberty, Cynthia Sheets (Duane Lakes) of Richmond, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her husband Thomas Allen Schisler died in 1999. She is also preceded in death by one son Gary Strait, one daughter Deborah Ward, two grandchildren Robert Leroy Sheffer Jr. and Michelle Renae Brashears, her aunt Ella Butler, and her brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 1, 2023, in the Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Chapel with Bishop Duane Madden officiating. Burial for Betty will be at College Corner Cemetery in College Corner. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Friday at Stegall-Berheide-Orr.
