Betty Lou (Sharp Hicks) LoPresti aka Betty Boop was born May 5th, 1930 in Lynn IN to Earl A and Lulu Mae (Hiatt) Sharp. She was a resident of Richmond and a Richmond High graduate, class of 1948. She moved to Orange Springs FL in 2020.

Betty retired from Vocational Rehabilitation after 20 plus years. She loved to cook, yard sales, dancing, and spend time with family and friends. She never meets a stranger. Betty was known for her chocolate fudge, garden pasta salad and a keen sense for fashion. She never went without her coordinating jewelry. She was known as the cake lady after moving to Cambridge Square where she made many more friends. Prior to the covid outbreak, she went dancing at least twice a week. Her request for the band was always her beloved "Rocky Top". A short illness (not covid) lead to her "Farewell Party" and dance to her final resting place in heaven.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by sister Norma Fudge, brothers James, John, Gerald, Robert, and Harold (Ed) Sharp. Great-grandson Kyle Hicks-Poteat. Best friend and aunt Lucille Wickersham.

At Betty's request, there will be no public service now, however, we plan a celebration of her life in Richmond in May 2022. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home is handling arrangments. Online condolences may be shared with the family via the guestbook at stegallberheideorr.com.
