Bernadine Bell, 99, of Richmond, passed away June 19, 2025, at Forest Park Health Campus. She was born September 7, 1925, in Richmond to Howard and Wahnetta Louise Freeman Veregge and lived here all her life.

She worked at K-Mart and retired from Wal-Mart, where she worked in the Garden Center until she was 98.

Bernadine was a member of the Faith Trinity Methodist Church.

She is survived by her sister, Virginia Virgne of Richmond, and she loved her many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her partner of 40 years, Jim Dees, one son Michael Bell, four brothers, Everett Jack, Robert Earl, Malcolm Edward, and David Marvin Veregge, and one sister, Mary Louise Powell.
