Barbara Jean Shaw 93 of Richmond died June 1, 2022, at Reid Health. She was born April 3, 1929, in Richmond to John and Elsie Baker Wallace and lived here all her life. She retired from Elder-Beerman Department Store where she worked in the shoe department. She enjoyed showing jokes and making candy. She was known to friends as the "Candy Lady."

Survivors include her daughters Jan Davis of Liberty and Doris Shaw of Richmond, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, and one niece. Her husband Kenneth Lee Shaw died May 30, 2007. Her son Johnny died on April 27, 2012. She is also preceded in death by her parents and one brother John Wallace.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home 222 North 10th Street with Rev. Martin Holman officiating. Barbara's burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday, June 4 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
