Edward (Ed) Fox 92 of Richmond died February 5, 2013 at Reid Hospital. He was born August 3, 1920 in Drip Rock, Kentucky to John and Cora Spivey Fox and lived in Richmond most of his life.
He retired from Wayne Corporation in 1985 and was an Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed gardening, auto racing, and was a Jeff Gordon fan.
Survivors include his wife Nancy(Maggie), who he married May 16, 1965, three daughters Betty (Bob) Murray, Irene Rader and Rebecca (Bill) Kramer of Richmond,two sons Charles Fox of Liberty, Frank Fox of Richmond, eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, one brother Paul (Dessie) Fox of Candler, North Carolina, one sister Hurley (Jr.) Berry of Richmond, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by one son Edward Fox Jr., his parents, five brothers Evertt, Ezart, Elbert, Ledford, and Hubert Fox, and one sister Nevoda Ward.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday February 9, 2013 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Wagers officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 4-7 PM Friday at the funeral home.
