Jane Esther Floyd 83 of Richmond died Wednesday October 17, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born May 30, 1929 in Richmond to the late Leonard and Carrie Phillips. Due to the death of her mother, at three months old, she was raised by her mother’s best friend Hattie and her husband Clifford Mann.

Jane was a devoted wife to Robert Floyd, her husband of over 50 years, mom, grandma, and great grandma. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Jane loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, watching N.B.A. basketball, and making dumplings for all occasions.

Survivors include her children Vaughn (Susan) Floyd of Scottsburg, and Vicki (Ward) Rush of New Palestine, her grandchildren Clint (Amber) Rush, Kurtis (Sarah) Rush, Karlee Rush, and Brad Sapp, and Cameron Floyd. Jane also leaves behind three great grandchildren Carson, Amella, and Wren Rush.

Also surviving are her brothers Paul (Katie) Phillips, Dan (Judy) Phillips, and Joe Phillips, nieces and nephews.

Jane was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Floyd, her parents, and brothers Robert, Jim, Sid, Matt, and Eugene Phillips

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday October 21, 2012 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Dwight Krueger officiating. Entombment will be in Earlham Mausoleum.
