James K. Kirtley 64 of Richmond died Saturday October 6, 2012 at his home. He was born May 5, 1948 in Richmond to Robert L. Kirtley and Ruth L. Borders (Kirtley) Nigro.
He attended Spartansburg and Richmond High Schools and graduates from Lincoln Technical Institute. He was a truck mechanic and worked for Fred First Ford, Richmond Community School bus garage, and Northeastern Wayne School bus garage.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years Kathy Kirtley, three children James D. (Tina) Kirtley and Jason L. (Mary) Kirtley of Fountain City, and Amy Kirtley (Mike Hedrick) of Connersville, seven grandchildren Devin Kirtley, Amber Kirtley, Cierra Guenther, Tyler Burgis, Jacob Burgis, Jessica Pippel, and Natalie Kirtley, his mother-in-law Marjorie Miller of Richmond, one brother Robert L. (Deborah) Kirtley of Centerville, one sister Gloria Kirtley of Richmond, nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday October 11, 2012 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. James Slaven officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
