Paul M. “Moon” Mullin 84 of Richmond died May 18, 2012 at Golden Living Center Golden Rule after a long illness. He was born November 4, 1927 in Brookline, Massachusetts to Hugh and Anna Hyland Mullin and has lived in Richmond 65 years.
Paul retired from the Richmond Fire Department and served as Fire Chief. He formerly worked for Richmond Glass Company, and as a bus driver for Richmond Community Schools. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was an avid golfer and a member of the Liberty Country Club. He was also a member of the Harry Ray American Legion Post #65.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years Wanda, four children Michael (Chrisann) Mullin of Richmond, Beverly Gordon of Liberty, Patricia (Jim) Rowe of Union County, and Christine (Mike) Peters of Richmond, six grandchildren John (Rene) Gordon, Bill (Susan) Mullin, Jeff (Amy) Mullin, Ashley Mullin, Jim (Maigen) Rowe, and Natalie Rowe.
Also surviving are: two brothers Leo and Richard Mullin; five sisters Barbara Cusick, Mary Gately, Claire Mullin, Ann Mullin, and Louise Remington, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Hugh Mullin, and a brother in law Fred Cuzick.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday May 22, 2012 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. John Luerman officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Elkhorn Cemetery. Friends may call 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
